I first was bitten with the CrossFit bug in 2019 when seeking out some secret sauce to help me win a fitness challenge with some friends. What I encountered in CrossFit was a methodology that would change my training forever. Coming from a team sports background of basketball and rugby, I fell in love with both the team-like environment and the high training intensity at Living the Dream.
Fitness has always been hugely important to me, not just for the great physical capacity that it gives you, but also for the mental grit and endurance that it builds. As I grow older and balder (although I’ve been pretty bald for a while), I’ve seen the life-changing effects and impacts that high-intensity training can have on individuals. I believe that the effort we put into our training carries through and over into all aspects of our lives, something I try to live by in my own training and day-to-day.
